Skating skills 11. Rockers.

Rockers, counters, brackets, twizzles and loops are considered difficult turns and when done properly are rewarded by increasing your skating skills and transition scores and your levels in footwork.

Here is the list of exercises for rockers from my youtube video:

  1. Simple rockers from left and right foot with crossover and mohawk transitions.

  2. Left and right foot rockers with more complicated transitions, using choctaw (which is a difficult step), power pull and crossroll.

  3. Rocker followed by a three-turn. This exercise helps to get shoulders/hips checked between turns.

  4. Rocker with power pull and a three-turn. Practice on this exercise improves power and edges.

Here is the link to my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@styleskating35 , where you can watch all these exercises. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and learn something new.
