Off ice warm up series.

Off ice training should be a part of every figure skater’s daily routine. Skaters warm up their muscles off ice to get ready for jumping and spinning on ice. Plan to spend at least 20 minutes doing jogging, jump roping, jumping exercises and some dynamic stretches.

Working out to strengthen your muscles is recommended 2-3 times a week.

Stretching every day 20-40 min. after your practice is necessary for faster recovery.

Ballet and dance lessons are great additions to skating for improving your coordination, balance, turnout and extension.

Working with rubber bands is good resistance training.

Jump rope exercises help with agility and conditioning.
